Historical Overview

The history of the enterprise began in 1965 with the establishment of a workshop for the unique production of piezoceramic materials and elements for hydroacoustics in the building of an inactive boiler house in the settlement Krjukovo.

In 1965, based on this workshop, a decree from the State Committee for Electronic Technology established the "Piezoelement" factory with a research and development department.

The scale of production grew, and new directions in piezotechnology emerged and rapidly developed, leading to the creation of a new industry—piezoelectronics.

Over the years, the team at the enterprise has traveled a glorious path of creativity and construction in the field of priority areas of domestic piezotechnology. Today, thanks to the fruitful activities of JSC "Elpa Research Institute," it remains one of the leading developers and manufacturers of specialized, science-intensive products—piezotechnology and acoustoelectronics for radio-electronic equipment used in various sectors of the domestic economy.

Throughout its years of operation, the enterprise has utilized advanced scientific ideas, high technologies, and the achievements of leading industry specialists.
