  One-Coordinate Piezoelectric Acceleration Sensor

This sensor is housed in a sealed metal case together with a preamplifier which performs a preliminary signal processing. Using direct piezoeffect the device forms an electrical signal proportional to the acceleration caused by vibrations.
    Applications:
  • seismometry sensors for monitoring dynamics of the earth's crust
  • security systems based on detecting an acoustical disturbance and locating the source of its origin ( for instance, land frontier guarding systems)
